Flow/Pressure Drop Sizing
- For Models with Fans look up individual flow versus external pressure drop (PD) chart for each model below.
- Estimate the external pressure drop and read the flow rate from the specific Model Number chart.
Make sure you include duct, entrance and terminal filter (if applicable) pressure drops - note that even terminal filters have entrance losses.
OR
- For fan-less models (e.g. 1001A, 2001A, 3001A, 2004A) size the external fan based on the following Pressure Drop vs Flow curve for the BIO PLUS® Grade 02 filters chart below. Follow instructions in the inset of the chart.
For Series 1000 Pre-Filters estimate loss by clicking on the link below:
Service Space Considerations
- See the service space requirements for each Model.
- Models 1001, 2001A/B and 3001A/B/X need to have only one filter from each side replaced and need a minimum of 30” space on that side. These Models can be ordered with Right Hand or Left Hand Service doors thus enabling sharing or the 30” space by adjacent filter units. Further these units can be stacked up to 3 high. Contact Technovation for example drawings.
Models 2002 and 2004 need servicing on both sides and require a minimum of about 24” on each side. These units can also be stacked. Further, these Models can be staggered such that this service space can be reduced to approximately 18” on each side. Contact Technovation for example drawings
